NPC-QIC Progress Shared at 8th World Congress of Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery (WCPCCS)

Thank you to Syed Adil Husain, Nancy Rudd, Andrew Van Bergen, and Lacie Patterson, who shared the story of NPC-QIC at the recent 2023 WCPCCS, which took place from August 27 to Sept. 21 in Washington, D.C. The group delivered a joint presentation focused on the organization's 18 years of progress.

Their presentation spanned the following topics:

  • Collaboration to improve surgical outcomes in the Norwood procedure (Syed Adil Husain)

  • Improvement in single ventricle outcomes through shared practices among ICU and inpatient teams (Nancy Rudd)

  • Improvements in single ventricle mortality and nutrition and growth through collaboration (Andrew Van Bergen)

  • Parents as partners in improving single ventricle outcomes (Lacie Patterson)

Additionally, the following NPC-QIC-affiliated abstract poster presentations were on display as part of an exhibition that featured more than 2,000 presenters from 101 countries:
