Project Name: Unplanned Reinterventions Improvement Project
Project Phase: Learning Cohort
Brief Summary: This improvement project’s focus is to improve survival of infants between stage 1 and stage 2 surgery by reducing the need for an unplanned re-intervention in our single ventricle patient population.
SMART Aim: Reducing impact of the need for re-intervention on stage 1 mortality by:
Reducing unplanned reoperation or catheterization from 27% to 20% by March 2023
Reducing mortality associated with re-intervention from 20% to 15% by March 2023
Participation Details: While this project is currently not accepting new NPC-QIC member centers into the cohort, it is inviting new NPC-QIC member centers to participate in the development of a Toolkit. Contact info@npcqic.org for more information.
Additionally, NPC-QIC member centers interested in monitoring and learning from the project’s progress can log into the NPC-QIC SharePoint site to view monthly webinar presentations and material archives.
