ORAL FEEDING PRE STAGE 1 PALLIATION PROJECT
Project Name: NPC-QIC Oral Feeding Pre Stage 1 Palliation Improvement Project
Project Phase: Design
Brief Summary: This improvement project will improve the survival and quality of life for infants with single ventricle heart disease infants by improving the opportunity for nutritional and neurodevelopmental oral feeding experiences.
SMART Aim: Increase the percent of newborns/infants fed orally prior to Stage 1 palliation from ~53% to ~75%.
Participation Details: NPC-QIC centers will be invited to participate in the learning cohort for this project in late 2021. Announcements with the Invitation Packet link will be sent out via the Quality Times Newsletter and SharePoint site.
